Viewpoint: Effect of Ice Clouds Must Be Re-Evaluated

25 Nov 2015 - Clouds are the big unknowns in climate models. Whether they have a cooling or warming effect depends on their composition and the altitude at which they develop and are located. Just in time for the climate conference in Paris, Dr. Martina Krämer has published a scientific guideline for ice clouds, which are also known as cirrus clouds. The scientific community uses the facts to re-evaluate the role of cirrus clouds in climatic processes.
