Robust Solid-State Sodium Battery Withstands 100 Charging Cycles
Jülich, 1 October 2019 – Scientists from Forschungszentrum Jülich have developed a solid-state sodium battery which maintains over 90 % of its initial capacity after 100 charging cycles. Given that solid-state batteries are still at the laboratory stage, this is an excellent outcome. Comparable results were previously only achieved with designs containing liquids or additional soft layers such as polymers.
