Research Interests:
I am highly interested in motor cognition and how healthy aging – as well as neurological conditions such as stroke - influences motor and cognitive functioning, for example motor learning. Especially I am focussing on deficits in cognitive control which result in action errors and the subjective awareness thereof. To investigate these topics, I am using behavioural and neuropsychological tests, but also apply electroencephalography (EEG) and neurostimulation techniques such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS).
