The main focus of my research is to achieve a better understanding of the underlying neural networks of executive functions. This is done by using methods such as voxel-based morphometry together with multimodal connectivity analyses including resting state functional connectivity and meta-analytic connectivity modelling to identify brain regions that are associated with specific cognitive processes and to investigate how these regions interact with the rest of the brain. Additional approaches such as hierarchical clustering and functional decoding are also used to further understand the resulting regions.
