High Tech for Alzheimer’s Research

Jülich, 18 August 2017– In future, it will be possible to conduct more intensive research into the causes of and potential treatments for widespread diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson’s, and diabetes at Forschungszentrum Jülich. On 18 August, Thomas Rachel member of the German Bundestag and parliamentary state secretary at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, officially opened a new building for the Biomolecular NMR Center together with Prof. Harald Bolt, member of Jülich’s Board of Directors. The building, which cost € 2.8 million, provides enough space for four high-performance NMR spectrometers, thus enabling high-precision structural investigations to be undertaken.
