About Us

In 2021 Forschungszentrum Jülich generates approximately 395 million euros in third-party funding annually. The majority of this comes from research and development activities for industry, from the acquisition of funding from Germany and abroad and from project management agencies on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The External Funding Management (D) supports the scientific institutes and organisational units of Forschungszentrum Jülich in applying for, calculating, coordinating and accounting for all third-party funding activities. In addition, the business division External Funding Management is responsible for contract management of research and development contracts.
