Basic operations at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre prolonged until further notice
In accordance with the preventive measures against the spread of the coronavirus published by the management of Forschungszentrum Jülich on 7 January 2021 (with a last update on 24 March 2021), the Jülich Supercomputing Centre is switching to basic operation and adjusting its range of services.
During basic operation, we will supplement this message for you with current information (updates).
Update on 15 April 2021: Basic operation will be prolonged until further notice.
HPC systems and support:
The HPC systems are still in operation. However, they are only maintained by a minimal number of members of the on-site administrator team.
The entire user support team is currently working from home. To report problems with the HPC systems and for support in using the supercomputers, please use the email address

The support phone number, +49 2461 61-2828, is currently diverted to an answering machine; recorded messages are immediately forwarded as voice messages to sc@fz-juelich.de and then processed further.

Dispatch services can still be reached during the usual opening hours:

Personal authentication for DFN certificates will take place via video session until further notice. Please contact the above mail address for this purpose.
Please note that a personal visit to the Dispatch is currently not possible, the mailbox at the Dispatch and the fax machine are emptied once a day.
JuNet network services and IT security
The number of on-site employees in the areas of network and IT security has been halved. Your known contact persons can still be reached by e-mail. Only the availability by telephone could be temporarily limited, depending on the colleague's current workplace (JSC office or home office). You can reach the network helpdesk as usual at +49 2461 61-6440.
