Non-volatile memories

Non-volatile memories play an important role in future IT and novel concepts for neuromorphic computing.

Our activities aim at a comprehensive understanding of the resistive switching mechanism in both oxide and phase change materials on the basis of the local structural and bonding information at atomistic level obtained by aberration corrected (scanning) transmission electron microscopy ((S)TEM).
