Start of the HY3 project: Germany and the Netherlands are jointly investigating possibilities for the large-scale production of green hydrogen.

hyfThe Netherlands, North Rhine-Westphalia and the Federal Republic of Germany have commissioned a feasibility study on the creation of a transnational value chain for green hydrogen  from the North Sea to industrial clusters in the border area of ​​the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia. The project was presented today at the "Combined Energy" energy conference in Arnhem (Netherlands).

The study is part of a trilateral project launched by the Dutch Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, the State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. Each of the three parties has commissioned an institution to prepare and implement the project, or will do so. The Dutch Organization for Applied Scientific Research TNO was commissioned by the Netherlands and the Research Center Jülich IEK-3 by the Ministry of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
