Summer Schools and Laboratory Courses
Jülich’s scientific institutes organize summer schools and laboratory courses, often in collaboration with universities. These events give students the chance to gain early insight into working at a multidisciplinary research institution and improve their theoretical and experimental knowledge through intensive courses. As many of the summer schools are popular internationally, participants also have the opportunity to exchange ideas and develop contacts with early-career scientists from other countries.

Information for International Students
Various funding programmes enable international students to gain insight into the available research opportunities and obtain first-hand experience at an early stage in their career. Depending on their country of origin and university, students may need to obtain permission from the Federal Employment Agency before starting employment at Forschungszentrum Jülich. The International Advisory Services team provides advice and support to international students on all legal matters concerning non-residents and social legislation.
