IEK-8 ist Mitglied des MESSy-Konsortiums. Die Arbeitsgruppe "Globale Modellierung" verwendet MESSy in der EMAC-Konfiguration, um globale atmosphärische Simulationen mit hochkomplexer Chemie durchzuführen.
