Chemical reactions at the solid-gas interface

The surface chemistry plays an important role in material research for energy application especially in harsh environments. Therefore our focus is the determination and evaluation of reaction mechanisms and processes at the materials surface close to operation conditions. We combine Near-Ambient-Pressure Photoelectronspectroscopy with localising techniques like atomprobe tomography or time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry to gain information on e.g. degradation mechanisms and catalytic reactions.
