Vitrobot Mark IV
The Vitrobot system is a semi-automated sample preparation instrument that is routinely used in cryo-EM. It removes excess liquid by blotting and is followed by rapid freezing of aqueous sample in liquid ethane giving rise to amorphous vitreous ice.
