Improving Helmholtz models for rapid analysis in response to disruptive events

Contributions from IEK-10:

  • Development of validated transmission grid models: Electricity grids Germany and Europe (incl. 110 kV) and European gas grid incl. markets
  • Integrated assessment of the European power and gas system
  • Multi-physical LEC co-simulation for heat, electricity and gas
  • Development of interfaces for IEK-10 open-source models to integrate them into the Helmholtz platform for model and simulation coupling
  • Policy advice for the German Federal Government
