Data from the Arctic to the Equator

Jülich, 8 October 2014 - Over 60 atmospheric researchers from Germany, Brazil, and Israel investigated high-climbing convective clouds over the Amazon rainforest with the help of the research aircraft HALO. The aim of the ACRIDICON-CHUVA Campaign was to determine how aerosol particles, cloud droplets and ice crystals, wind and sunshine interact in the atmosphere. A team from the Institute of Energy and Climate Research at Forschungszentrum Jülich was also involved in the project.
