Forschungszentrum Jülich is National Contact Point for Open Access

Reading made free for everyone

Jülich, 13 October 2017 – For roughly one year now, German science organizations have been collaborating under the umbrella of the DEAL project to negotiate nationwide contracts with major science publishers Elsevier, Wiley, and SpringerNature for the entire portfolio of electronic journals (e-journals). The project aims for scientific articles to be published open access in future. This would ensure free and unrestricted access to such articles, with merely a one-off fee for publication. Forschungszentrum Jülich together with Bielefeld University have now become the National Contact Point for Open Access.
